Amidst the country-wide lockdown, a big good news for ordinary citizens has come out in early May. The reassuring news for those facing all sorts of troubles between the Corona virus and the lockdown is that there has been a big drop in cooking gas prices. 

A cylinder of subsidized cooking gas has become cheaper by Rs 15. The oil company fixes the price on the first of every month.

The country's oil marketing companies HPCL, BPCA and IOC have announced a reduction in the price of unsubsidised LPG cooking gas cylinders. 

The price of a 14.2 kg non-subsidized LPG cylinder has come down by Rs 162.5 and the new price has come down to Rs 581.5. While the price of a 19 kg cylinder has come down by Rs 256 to Rs 1029.5.

This time a bottle of cooking gas has become cheaper by Rs 162.5 in Delhi. According to the IOC website, the price of a 14.2-kg cylinder in Delhi has now come down from Rs 744 to Rs 581. However, due to the tax applicable in different states, this rate may vary.
