An accident victim's postmortem report, police complaint, copy of the pamphlet has to be included along with the application form.

As the main person of the dying family, only one person has to apply as an applicant and all members of the family must consent. This support is not available individually to every family member.
The definition of family for this purpose includes spouses, minors, unmarried daughters and dependent parents.


Where to Apply?

Apply for the urban area to the provincial office of that area.

For Gram Panchayat Area - Under this scheme, Deputy District Development Officer will have to apply.

For Municipal Municipal Area - UCD in Commissioner Municipal Office Apply to the branch. The authority to approve assistance under this scheme is owned by the above officer and application form will also be obtained from their office.

(A) Elligibility Criteria:
  • 1. Family should be in BPL List
  • 2. Natural or accidental death of main income earner of family
  • 3. Age of dead male or female should be more than 18 years and less than 60 years
  • 4. Application to be submitted within 2 years after death
(B) Benefits: Rs. 20,000/- to the family.
(C) Where to apply?
  • 2 .Apply to respective TalukaMamlatdar.
  • The TalukaMamlatdars are authorized to approve or disapprove the assistance under this scheme. Appeal can be given to Prant Officer in 60 days in case of disapproval of application
